The leaves are a striking blue-gray to blue-green and are dramatically edged with a contrasting blackish-maroon margin and sharp, black terminal spines.Flowers: At maturity (after many years), it sends up a towering, tree-like flower spike, up to 15-20 ft. tall, with yellow-green flowers. The plant is monocarpic, meaning it dies after flowering.Habit: An evergreen, perennial succulent with a highly architectural, sculptural form.
