- Features:Foliage: Pinnately compound, holly-like leaves with spiny, toothed margins. The leathery leaflets are glossy, deep green, often emerging bronze-red in spring and developing attractive purple-bronze to crimson hues in winter.Flowers: Bright yellow, lightly fragrant flowers held in dense, upright clusters at the stem tips in spring. Fruit: Clusters of edible, dark blue berries with a characteristic whitish bloom (powdery coating).
