  • The round, waxy, six-petaled, creamy yellow flowers have brown dots in the center and only live for one day, but they bloom and fade continuously.
  • The sword-shaped leaves are fanned out on the stems; dead and yellowing leaves are pruned off at the base to preserve energy for new growth.
  • It grows as a perennial evergreen grass-like shrub in zones 8 to 11 and as an annual in colder areas, 2 to 3 feet tall and as wide;
  • Low maintenance, needs at least five hours of direct sunlight a day for continuous blooming; very drought tolerant.
