California Apostille Expedited Service
Already purchased a California Apostille service with Landz, but are short on time? By adding this service, we will prioritize your file once it meets all requirements, utilize appropriate official in-person processing channels based on the situation, and minimize overall waiting time as much as possible.
This is a $500 expedited add-on, not a standalone Apostille product.
This item must be purchased together with a California Apostille service from Landz.
If you have not yet purchased the main Apostille service, please select the corresponding document authentication product first, or use the California Apostille main portal.
Purchasing this expedited option alone cannot replace document review, notarization, certified copies, or the official Apostille service itself.
What does the $500 Express cover?
Expedited service does not simply mean putting a "rush" label on a file; it means prioritizing internal processing, coordination, and on-site handling resources to compress controllable wait times.
Priority Document Review
Priority verification of whether your document meets California Apostille requirements, identifying issues like missing notarization, certifications, or incorrect document versions as soon as possible.
Priority Submission Scheduling
Once the document is ready, it is given priority in our Apostille submission and processing schedule, reducing queue wait times compared to standard orders.
Priority Return Handling
After the Apostille is completed, we prioritize document retrieval, shipping, or other delivery methods as agreed upon in your order.
California offers official in-person same-day Apostille service
The California Secretary of State currently provides in-person same-day Apostille services in Sacramento and Los Angeles, and also hosts Pop-Up Shops in various cities.
"Same-day" refers to the California Secretary of State's same-day processing channel for qualified, in-person submitted Apostille requests; it does not mean that every customer order is inherently "completed the same day" from the moment the order is placed.
Target of approximately 2 business days, starting from when the file is "ready"
For California Apostille orders that meet the criteria, Landz targets an approximate 2-business-day turnaround for the entire expedited process.
The timeframe begins when: The document is complete, all necessary notarizations or certified copies are obtained, and we have confirmed it is ready for the Apostille process.
If the original document itself has issues, such as missing notarization, being from another state, requiring a new certified copy, or if it is actually a Federal Document, preparatory time is not included in this expedited target.
Which orders are suitable for express?
You already have a valid California certified document, or private documents have been completed with California Notary certification.
The document's public official or notary signature is within the scope of California certification.
Such as upcoming travel, imminent domestic appointments, or strict court/transaction deadlines, where you wish to minimize waiting time.
Adding $500 Express does not mean all files can immediately enter Apostille processing.
Express can only accelerate documents that already meet the proper certification conditions.
If a document still requires the court to issue a new certified copy, county-level certification, re-issuance by a bank or employer, or needs the signer to re-notarize, these steps must still be completed.
Similarly, FBI, SSA, FDA, USPTO, and other Federal Documents are not California Apostille cases, and you cannot turn a federal document into a California rush order by purchasing this item.
"Overnight shipping to Sacramento" is not the same as official expedited processing.
California Secretary of State mailed Apostille requests are processed in the order they are received.
Even if you use FedEx, UPS, or DHL overnight shipping, it only shortens the transit time; it does not mean the Secretary of State will pull that mail item out of the standard queue for priority processing.
For truly urgent California documents, it is more appropriate to use the official in-person same-day service or other available on-site channels as the situation requires.

What should you confirm before going expedited?
This product is only an Express Add-on and cannot replace formal authentication services independently.
Includes all pages, signatures, seals, notarial certificates, or official certifications.
If the document is from another state or a U.S. federal agency, it must be routed to the appropriate certifying agency first.
The Apostille request must specify the country where the document will be used.
$500 is Landz's expedited service fee, not the Secretary of State's "2-day rush fee."
The $500 for this product covers priority order review, coordination, submission, in-person processing arrangements, and expedited performance management.
The California Secretary of State charges separate government and on-site handling fees for the Apostille itself; these official costs are distinct from the $500 Landz Express Service Fee.
The value of the Express service lies in prioritizing internal processing and on-site resources, and minimizing controllable wait times between document inspection, submission, pickup, and final delivery.
Why choose Landz for urgent needs?
Realistic feasibility assessment
We do not promise timelines when documents are ineligible; we confirm whether the conditions for an Apostille are met first.
No fake "rush" by standard mail
Mailed items are still processed in the official queue. When truly urgent, we utilize appropriate in-person channels based on the situation.
Prioritized handling from end to end
We don't just speed up the Secretary of State portion; we reduce waiting during inspection, submission, retrieval, and return.
FAQ
Does the $500 express fee include the main Apostille service?
No, it does not. The $500 is an Express add-on fee, which must be purchased alongside the corresponding California Apostille main service.
Can I purchase Express separately?
Not recommended. If there is no corresponding Apostille main order, we will first contact you to confirm the specific documents and main service required.
Is the $500 charged by the California Secretary of State as a rush fee?
No. The $500 is a Landz Express Service Fee, used for internal priority review, coordination, in-person processing arrangements, and expedited service delivery.
Is completion in 2 business days guaranteed?
An approximate 2-business-day turnaround is the service target Landz aims for regarding qualified urgent cases, not a uniform timeline guarantee issued by the California Secretary of State for all documents.
Only when documents are complete, authentication paths are correct, and they meet formal submission conditions, can they proceed with expedited processing.
When do the two business days start?
The clock starts once the document is complete, necessary notarizations or certifications are finished, and we have confirmed that it can enter the California Apostille expedited workflow.
Does the California Secretary of State offer same-day Apostille?
Yes. The California Secretary of State currently provides in-person same-day service in Sacramento and Los Angeles, and also hosts Apostille Pop-Up Shops.
Then why might the overall process still take 2 business days?
The official in-person Apostille is just one step in the entire order process. Files also involve verification, necessary notarization, delivery to the official office, retrieval, and final delivery, so the actual order turnaround time for the client is not equivalent to the counter processing time.
If I send it to the Secretary of State myself using FedEx Overnight, isn't that expedited too?
Overnight shipping only shortens transit time. Mail-in applications are still processed according to the regular queue after the Secretary of State receives them; you cannot equate express shipping with official in-person expedited service.
Can a birth certificate be expedited?
If you already hold a qualifying California certified birth certificate, we can further determine if it is suitable for California Apostille Express. If you still need to re-apply for a birth certificate, the time required to obtain a certified copy must be calculated separately.
Can a power of attorney be expedited?
Yes, but a private power of attorney must first have the correct signature and California Notary acknowledgment completed. Once notarization is complete and the document is confirmed to be compliant, it can enter the expedited Apostille process.
Can FBI documents be processed with this expedited service?
Not applicable. The FBI is a U.S. federal agency and does not follow the California Secretary of State Apostille path.
What about SSA, FDA, or USPTO documents?
If you are processing federal documents officially issued by these agencies, they are also not eligible for California Apostille Express. They should be processed according to the appropriate Federal Apostille path.
Can documents from other states be expedited?
You cannot use this California Express product. Documents issued by other states should be processed according to the Apostille procedures of the original issuing state.
What if my document is not compliant?
We will first inform you what steps are missing, such as re-obtaining a certified copy, supplementing notarization, or switching to a different certifying authority. Only after the document meets the requirements can it officially enter the expedited process.
What happens after I place an order?
If the main Apostille service has already been purchased, after adding the $500 Express option, we will prioritize checking the order and document status. Once we confirm the documents meet California Apostille requirements, we will prioritize arranging subsequent official processing and delivery.
On a tight schedule? Prioritize your prepared documents.
If you have already purchased the main California Apostille service and your documents meet the requirements for official certification, you can add the $500 Express service. We will prioritize the review, coordination, and arrangement of official processing and delivery, striving to compress controllable waiting times as much as possible.
